2023 Inno Fire Awards, Ecosystem Builders: Larry Horn
Horn’s entrepreneurial journey started in a growth-focused company and was further developed during his MBA in entrepreneurship at the University of Louisville. His organization’s goal for 2024 is to guide founders, collaborators, and entities within the ecosystem by gathering and analyzing data to direct resources effectively. They also aim to enhance the reputation of organizations supporting regional entrepreneurs.
In Kentucky’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, Bryce Butler of Access Ventures is recognized as an unsung hero. Butler has made significant contributions to the state’s ecosystem through various venture initiatives, such as launching Render Capital, partnering with Kiva and WeFunder, and providing growth loan opportunities for early-stage founders. He also played a pivotal role in legislation and established programs that support underrepresented founders and address pressing social issues. Butler’s focus is on creating impact rather than maximizing shareholder value.
