As the year comes to an end, many smartphone users haven’t had a chance to explore the major updates to the Google and iPhone operating systems. Here are some highlights of the new features in Android 14 and iOS 17:

Google’s Android 14 focuses on improving security and accessibility features. Users can now customize their phone screens with new wallpaper, app widgets, and shortcuts. Simply go to the Settings app and select Wallpaper & Style to personalize your device.

Apple’s iOS 17 offers a variety of options in its Wallpaper settings. With the recent iOS 17.2 update, users can now use the Journal app to create a personal digital diary, recording thoughts and feelings through text, images, and topic suggestions. The Journal app is available in the App Store and allows users to back up their entries to their iCloud account.

While Google has not released its own dedicated diary app for Android, some users prefer to use Google’s free Keep and Docs apps for similar purposes.

Stay tuned for more updates and features in the world of smartphones.
