Pornhub among X-rated sites falling under Europe's strict new law for online content

The European Union has introduced new rules for big online platforms to target specific pornography sites. The European Commission has classified Pornhub, Stripchat, and XVideos as ‘very large online platforms’ subject to stricter standards under the Digital Services Act. The sites have been given four months to comply with regulations on age verification, content moderation, and transparency. They must also prevent the spread of non-consensual sexual content and deepfake pornography. The commission is demanding the use of age verification tools and reporting to law enforcement in case of criminal activities. Non-compliant companies can face fines up to 6% of their annual global revenue.
