Pro-China YouTube network used AI to malign US, report finds

The campaign aims to influence global opinion by promoting the superiority of Chinese technology over American technology, predicting the economic collapse of the United States, and portraying China and Russia as responsible geopolitical players. These videos have garnered nearly 120 million views and 730,000 subscribers. The campaign is considered one of the most successful influence operations related to China on social media. YouTube has taken action by shutting down several channels violating its policies. China has increasingly engaged in propaganda campaigns targeting the United States and other countries, utilizing artificial intelligence to create persuasive content at scale.
