A recent report by Ketto.org sheds light on the positive outcomes of these platforms, using India as an example. The report reveals several interesting statistics:

  1. This year, 419,893 Indians made their first-ever online donations.

  2. Most of these donations were INR 500, proving that small acts of kindness can make a significant impact.

  3. The largest donation this year was INR 25,00,000, coming from Mysore, Karnataka. This amount is equivalent to purchasing over 800 acres of land on the moon!

  4. Fridays were found to be the most popular day for donations compared to other days of the week.

  5. The most popular donation modes include UPI, wallet, card, and bank transfer. Donations for soldiers increased by 2675% this year, while donations for senior citizens increased by 484.06%. Contributions towards food and hunger also rose by 381.14%. Additionally, donations towards widow empowerment increased by 100%.

  6. The top ten states in India that made the highest number of donations were Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and Gujarat.

  7. Ketto donors made over 1.3 million donations this year, surpassing the population of Bhutan.

  8. A donor from Hyderabad made 941 Ketto donations in the last year, averaging 3 donations per day.

  9. The average donation amount on Ketto is INR 1120.
